Petro-Canada is an integrated Oil & Gas company and one of the largest integrated developers of Canada’s Oil Sands. Petro-Canada operates in both the upstream and the downstream sectors of the industry within Canada and internationally.

We implemented an Enterprise Content Management system that is used for providing a standardized platform for the unstructured content across the enterprise. In addition, an enterprise-wide records management system was created to ensure that policies and procedures adhere to the compliance requirements across several departments.

Business Challenges:

Petro-Canada had implemented Documentum as their enterprise content management solution. The implementation was department specific and no standard architecture existed. The lack of standards and architecture had limitations with use of the product capabilities and longer development times.

Our role:

We provided a review of the existing implementations and then developed a roadmap and strategy for the enterprise roll out with standard architecture. We also helped to consolidate the disparate servers and repositories and setup a highly available infrastructure to scale with the enterprise rollout.
